Yes Teresa, the tree and the words were embossed. I wanted to give the receiver the feeling they were in a darlened woods with only the glow of a single tree for light. (my artist statement!) I've never made a black Christmas card before...glad you liked it.

And Merry Christmas. My cards just went in the mail--nice to have the post office just a block away and in a tiny town so I didnt have to wait in a long line.

I must apologize for my lateness with my cards. I am hardly ever late on getting swaps done, but my family has suffered a tragedy. My uncle was badly burned in a accidental fire. He is in the ICU burn unit at a University Hospital 3 hours away, and things are looking good, but he is still on a vent, and has over 50% of his body burnt. My son was with him at the time, and I am forever greatful that I have a son that can think fast! My uncle's family stated if he had not been there, my uncle would have died. Please keep my aunt and cousins in your prayers. She and my uncle are like a mom and dad to me, and my cousins i consider my sisters. This has hit us all pretty hard.

I would just like to say I am so sorry for the delay on getting my cards out, and I hope you love them. I have recieved 4 in the mail, and love them all. I am sorry I dont have the names with me, but one had a snowman in a globe--darling!, a tag with a reindeer--very elegant, a button christmas tree card--so very clever, and love the buttons, and one yesterday with a christmas tree--also very elegant. I hope you like mine, with an extra little warmness included.

Deb I am so sorry...don't worry about late...family ALWAYS comes first. I am just looking at it as a step ahead for next Christmases cards! they have all been so wonderful...glad I joined the swap.

I've been at my in-laws for the past week & a half. Deb's card was in my pile of mail. So cute! I love the cocoa mix.
