How do you store your scraps?

I never used to save my scraps. My scrap buddies used to laugh at me about it. THen i started to throw them in a drawer, thinking i would use them... and never did. But yesterday i organized them and two things happened. First, I realized that I had some good BIG sheets of paper that I was wasting just becuase I punched a few circles. Second, when I went to do a layout today, I used quite a bit of my scraps and was really impressed!!! So now I am excited about my scraps!!! I think the real reason I never used my scraps before is because they were not organized and it was just a drawer full of mess!! I went through the whole drawer and threw away the peices that were too small or just annoying (lol) and then separated them by color (mostly used the backside of papers which are usually a solid color) and put in those big plastic ziplock bags. And I love it!!!

My cardstock scraps are all done by color in baggies. My patterned scraps are saved in baggies by brand or them & stored along with my fresh sheets of paper which are organized the same way. I'm happy to know that you are finally saving & loving your scraps!

I used to throw my scraps away too. Good idea ladies....I may have to start saving mine.

I'm so cheap, I have been known to go through peoples "scrap" bag at the end of a crop and pick out some nice pieces! If the are too small, I punch them into inchies for embellies on cards or such. Or take an hour or so to punch circles, flowers etc and then separate them in bags. I have a bright green basket that I keep most of my large paper in...not easy to use, but out and accessable so I don't forget about them. I have an "out of sight-out of mind" problem. needs to be in front of me

I do have to say since I organized my scraps I have used them on every Layout or card I have done since! I am loving it! :)

I keep (an use) my scraps in my stand up rolling file. Very easy to see what I have and easy access.
