Your stencil can be handmade or store bought.

Does a mask work, or does it have to be a stencil, with she shape cut out of the inside...?

What a fun challenge! My grandson and I did this techniques last month when I helped him make his first Valentine! (He's 3!!)

My son has always loved the mists too. And Stickles. His teacher gave me some crafty tasks involving papercrafting supplies & at the end of her note it said "I'm pretty sure you know how to use all the tools". I asked her what gave me away & she said that Devin asked for sparkle mist & stickles while working on a craft project. lol!

That's too funny Kristi! My 10 yr old pulled out the Cricut to do her border and title for her Geography project last week!

I'm completed my layouts and uploaded them to the gallery.

I love Kimmy's use of the mask in the background! Great job..it's a great compliment to your design.

Here's my take on it: I used Glimmer Mists, Heidi Swapp chipboard letters as mask (BEKA) and my Cricut to cut out the main title from a sheet of cardstock as my mask.
