| The challenge is to use a found object that is not meant for scrapping or crafts on a layout (any size). Don't just use thread from sewing- use wire from a broken telephone cord.
Look in your bathroom, your kitchen, your garage, your yard! Think: duct tape, plastic mesh from around food, hair accessory, aluminum foil, sand.
Show us how creative and resourceful you can be! Make sure to use a non-traditionally scrapbook item you FOUND. One entry per person. Entries are due by April 30th, 11:59pm PST Upload your project to the gallery album titled "recycle" | |

| Some examples of non-traditional items used on a scrappy page. The homemade flowers on here were made after I cleaned out my closet. The material comes from an old dotted shirt, a black nightgown and red nylons that had runs. Yep, I used sexy lingerie on this very traditional heritage page and think it totally works. Hope I inspired you to look through your recycle bin and USE some of that goodness for a unique and original twist to your scrapbooking. | |

| more examples: the background is the cardboard piece that comes in paper packs to keep them flat. Then I covered it with the mesh that goes around a frozen turkey! The shadow to it gives a great texture. Coordinating with this page, I used the cup warmer from a coffee house. Don't throw it away, use it! | |

| Hi, Amy! Quick question...It says to use the recycled item in a layout, but I was wondering if I could make gift tags instead? I thought I'd ask, because there are some tags I've been wanting to make and this challenge would work perfectly with what I need to get done, but I can use something else if you'd prefer a layout. :-D | |

| another inspiration layout. I made this book-of-me layout out of office supplies! Note the name tag from a meeting, the graph paper from my desk and packing material- cardboard and twine from the mail room. Even office brads from our supply closet. The flavor tag isn't office, but is recycled from a tag off a pair of jeans. Just thought it fit. Hello, my name is HAPPY By AllAmy | |

| Here's my take! I did a no-photo layout using found objects like aluminium foil and mosaic tiles from tiles sample boards... | |

| I've used builders metal tape (I think its for ducting) on the butterfly, a chain from a luggage tag, and a metal mesh off-cut from the gutter leaf guard. | |
