I know money is often a taboo subject, but I'm going for it.
How much money do you spend a month on scrapbooking?

Of, if only hubby knew!! I'm in a kit club for $27/month and then shop periodically but probably averages out to $25/month. Maybe I'm estimating low. I think I'd rather not know the truth! Wink

I used to spend crazy amounts of money on new supplies but these days it varies. Some months I spend nothing, some just $30 & other mmonths I spend $100+. I'm really trying to use what I have & only buy what I know I will use.

I went through a year of trying to not buy and canceling my monthly kit club but I found (for me), my inspiration to actually scrap wasn't there. Buying makes me work harder to use and purge, but I'm sure I'll never use it all!

My kit club has a monthly challenge to use THAT month's 4 kits all that month. Inspires me to get more done and use what I buy!

I think I spend around $50 to $100 a month. It used to be so much more but my husband lost his job 2 years ago this April and needless to say things had to change.

I think I need a challenge to use as much old stash as possible...lol

I am about the same with you all it does vary. I do spend here and there and would rather not add it up. Because it is probably more than the $30- $50 figure in my head. I was in a kit club, which was $25 a month. I do have to say without doing a kit I find I splurge a bit more...

But I go by a few saying I have come across.....

It started out as a harmless hobby........
I had no idea it would come to this.

My husband lets me buy all the scrapbook stuff I can hide.

Depends if I can get to a scrapbook store.... I live about 3.5 hours from the nearest one.
When I get there( 2x a year or so) I go kind of crazy spend about $200- that I save up for that purpose.

Monthly, I get one kit club @ $40 and sometimes add to that with other kit purchases or online shopping.

Waaaay too much. lol

I checked out a bunch of monthly kit clubs but had too much trouble trying to pick one, so I never ended up joining one. There are certain manufacturers that I cannot resist, so I end up picking up at least one of their lines w/each release, but WP could bankrupt me. lol I get everything they make, just not usually all at once. I buy mostly online since I do not have a nearby scrap store that I've found so far, but it might be for the best anyway? Inconvenient having to wait for my purchases, but I usually wait until I have enough of an order to get a free shipping deal and I have rarely ever paid full retail for my purchases? There are many months I spend nothing, but then others where I have spent hundreds. I know they're starting the sneaks for the summer CHA releases, but I'm going to try real hard not to buy much...I really need to just work on using up what I already have!

TOO much! I'll be good for awhile, then I will splurge when there's a sale on, or I do an order from USA.

I get my kit every month $30 and probably about $30 or $40 in addition to that. What hubby doesn't know doesn't hurt, right?

Way to much especially considering how slowly I scrap... I have my monthly kit and she always offers add on's and I often get 1 or 2 or 3 add-on's... I don't have a scrapbook store around my area so when I need an ink pad lets say... or a refill for a marker well I figure since I'm paying for shipping might as well get a few things... I run out of ink way to often for my own good, LOL

Well I certainly will not be blaming my lack of self control... that is for sure! LOL! As I sit here with bright YELLOW hands because my smooch spray won't spray right... time for another online purchase I guess...
