What technique/s do you find yourself using on your layouts or cards?

I have been distressing, inking and using circles on my layouts lately.

Spot distressing and inking (I don't tend to ever distress the whole page), paint splatters seem to appearing more regularly lately. hand sewing appears every now and then (not nearly as often as I'd like), double matting all of a sudden.
