| Hello everyone, Just checking in to let everyone know we are OK. We live in Bloomsburg PA, if you seen the news about the flooding the town is just devastated. We are without power but only had some minor basement flooding. It's been 2 days without power, but at least we still have a home.
We have no TV or cable at this time, and the only internet is blackberry which isn't the best. Will check back in when I can.
Keep Bloomsburg and surrounding areas affected by this disaster in your prayers and stay safe if you are affected.

| I'm so glad you are OK & only had minimal flooding inside the home. I've been so busy the past few days that I had no idea anything even happened! | |

| The devastations is awful here. We can get out our road although it's still closed. We tried to go for milk last night but the closest store didn't have any. WalMart and the grocery store were both without power for 3 days so they had to get rid of everything fresh and trucks are just now able to get things in. We are hoping WalMart will be stocked today as we have to go there to pick up prescriptions. Luckily we have enough food in the pantry to last a while, but it would be nice to be able to restock a bit. It's been a crazy month here. Irene, and earthquake and now a tropical depression that did more damage then both the first 2 events together. The water is finally starting to go down, they are leaving people back in as it's safe but there is just nothing left of some of the homes. It's a very sad site, if you have never seen a street devastated by floods it's truly heartbreaking. I just got an email from a friend who was watching her Grandkids and alone while her daughter was out of the country. I was worried she would be without power or have damage with the 2 little guys herself. She said they are OK, but have 2" of water in the basement which is finished and only lost power for 5 hours which wasn't bad at all, considering we were 3 days and there are still some without power. And I'm betting close to 3,000 homeless. That is just my estimate, I haven't heard any hard figures yet. I haven't scrapped in days, we are just trying to get things cleaned up both here and my parents. We are pretty much in order here, we need to get a new dehumidifier, but will wait until after things calm down to replace. I figure there are others that need them alot worse then we do. I still plan on being part of the fabulous back to school hop, and I got a card picked up by CARDS this week. It's not all bad news | |

| As if it's not hard enough without Mother Nature right? She sure has been reeking havoc these days. I am just so glad you & your family are OK but so sorry for the others who have lost anything...especially their homes. We has a freak thunder storm yesterday morning & I couldn't help but wonder if we were about to be her next victims. Things got pretty bad just North of us. | |
