Hey y'all....new from TN!

Hi, I'm Naomi. A little about me, hmmm...well, I'm a mother of 3 amazing children - Allison is 16, Milyn is 11, and Xander is 8 (he's the baby & only boy, talk about spoiled rotten ). My hubby is Kevin, he is the best, bless his heart he just watches while all of his hard earned money gets poured into my obsession of paper crafting. I work part time as a bookkeeper and office manager for 4 IHOPs. My boss is great, he lets me work around my busy schedule of being a mom & wife. He even lets me bring my paper crafting stuff with me to the office if I have a project that I'm working on for someone that needs to be finished soon, but I rarely do that, just doesn't seem right. But I love knowing I have the option.

My crafting includes card making, altering objects or furniture (decoupage), die cutting vinyl for walls or car windows, stamping, making paper decor for the home or events, and cake decorating (yes I absolutely consider that a craft lol).

As you probably guessed, I also make cakes. Boy has that taken on a life of it's on. It started when my husband, a couple friends, and I made my daughter's Sweet 16 cake, she wanted a 3-tier topsy turvy cake & those are expensive so we decided to make it ourselves. The pics went on Facebook and before I knew it people were asking us to make a cake for different occasions, now we have cake orders almost every week!

I will admit, I'm exhausted most of the time . I honestly don't know how I fit everything into a week much less a day (very little sleep I guess)...but that's my life and I wouldn't change any of it even if I could.

Anyway, I'm excited to be here to meet all of you and I look forward to learning new things from y'all. Sorry my intro is so long, but I just couldn't fit my story into a few sentences. maybe?

My son wanted a 3 layer cake last year so I decided to go for it. My Mom did cakes when I was growing up. I always helped so what the heck right? OMG! It took forever & I was so over it half way through. PS Team Member Nancy lives nearby so luckily her & her bakery skills came to the rescue. It wasn't the prettiest thing ever but my son loved it & all the kids thought he was so cool!

Thanks everyone for all the wonderful greetings, I feel so welcome already! Sorry I haven't replied sooner, had a busy weekend (as usual). But I'm glad to be part of this group, I can tell I'm gonna like it here.

So I have a question, possibly a stupid question but I'll ask anyway, so what exactly do I do next? I mean I've introduced myself and I've been browsing the forums, but I'm not sure where to go from here. I realize there's no certain rule (or is there? ). I guess what I'm looking for are suggestions, or maybe you could tell me what all of you did after you introduced yourself? Thanks ya'll!

Based on the warm welcome I received I'm assuming ya'll won't treat me like a complete idiot.....I almost feel like I'm the new kid at a new high school wandering aimlessly looking for my next class. Eeek, that scenario makes me a little nauseas, so maybe it's not quite that bad.

I'm a new one here also but wishing you a warm welcome along with everyone else.
