| Can someone please point me to directions on how to actually post my page here?
I did upload it to my gallery. I used distressing, and then I used bling, twine, rub ons, and 3 different patterned papers. LOVED this sketch!

| click on your image in the gallery, then right click on your image and select properties. Copy the URL that comes up. Come back here and type [ img] then put your url in here and close with [ /img] but do not include any spaces between the brackets or between the tags and your image's url. | |

| I used bling, 3+ PP, washi tape (lovin' that!) and 3 flowers. Used border and corner punch as my technique. | |

| Tracy--I had trouble uploading to the forum as well and the directions that are given didn't work for me. So if they don't work for you, here is what I do:
1. Click the 'Host an Image' icon in the upper right corner. It is the 2nd one in from the top right. 2. Browse and select your photo and click Host It. If you need to resize, select that from the drop down menu. 3. You will get a new box with 3 options that have URLs. I usually use Image (which posts very big for me) or Thumbnail, which is smaller. Click the Copy button. The box will highlight. 4. I then right click on the highlighted link and come to the box in the Forum, right click and select paste. 5. You will see the pic. Hopefully!
It took me a while to get to this. To make the hosting box go away, click on the icon again.
Hope this helps.
Verena

| Cindy-- Yahoo!! Glad to help! It took quite a bit for me to finally get there. It probably has to do with different computers, operating systems, browser versions...bc I know that the other way works for some people. But good to know I could help out!! | |

| I'm looking for some advice on Patterned Papers. I never feel like the patterns I pick 'match'. I see so many of the layouts with different papers and it all looks great, but I don't feel that way about mine. Any advice/guidance on doing this?
Thanks. | |

Thanks. Hi Verena, the easiest way is to use papers from the same line. Otherwise, I usually try to use one large pattern and then the rest smaller so there's a focus on the large one. Dots, stripes, checks are always good add-on patterns. I have a huge paisley stack I use to add onto other papers since it comes in 100s of colors. I find usually we tend to buy themed stacks, and it is a good idea to buy some no-descrip, quilting type patterns (flowers, stripes, checks, basics) in small prints like you would use for quilting to mix and match. Sometimes though, it just doesn't work out the way you want it to. Inking the edges I find helps separate the patterns and make them more distinct if they are similar or blending. Check out my blog to see, I always use a ton of pp (http://tfraildesigns.blogspot.com) and pm me if you want and I can maybe help you pick through what you have.

| Thanks, Tory, I'll check out your blog.
I do try to use paper from the same packs and that has helped, but I never seem to think it really looks right...

| On the LO you have here, I think if you had misted some of the brown onto the background paper and if you had inked the edges it would all tie in better. I find non-neutral backgrounds are always harder to work with, and as a result I use 90% neutrals now unless I am using a PP for the background.
Also the black washi tape throws it a bit, and maybe too many dots? I think some stripes would have added variety.

| so many gorgeous layouts again! wow had an awful time with the gallery today! I was worried I would be out this week since the doctor started me on a new med that has caused me to do nothing but sleep lately! But I did it and it is probably the fasted I have ever done a layout! my youngest son many years ago. I used distressing as my technique I used 3 different pattern papers twine rub-on (the stitching on the right side of the page) stick pin (the little blue heart) sorry the photo is not the best but had to take it in the house! | |
