wood huh...strange, but it is a good start for my wood splitting photos that I haven't been able to scrap because nothing was feeling good about them. I will hopefully work on this today, along with a few others. I love my Weds. leave me alone to scrap day!

Well I turned the sketch and added some more pics where the deco circles should have been. I have to say I've been loving this wood paper I bought over a month ago and I could just never think of a good way to use it. Well here it is! LOL and I really like how it all came out.
I used wood grain, flowers, buttons, twine and cardboard letters. I also used corner and edge punches as well as some inking/distressing and faux stitching on the papers.

Here is my take...I used more photos instead of the circle embellishments.
I used 5+buttons, wood grain buttons, metal (the title), recycled a TH package from his ribbons, and twine. I distressed the twine with ink and I distressed the scallopped edge. I've always wanted to share this event in my books as we do it so often, and most people don't think in this day of age people use wood to heat their house...well we have an all electric huse and this was the cheaper method.

Here's mine...

I used woodgrain paper, twine, chipboard (stars and YOU), 3 pp (multi color, woodgrain and pinwheel), and a brad in the center of pinwheel. I also distressed the edges.

I noticed on the list it said that no one fell out of the challenge - I had posted on the cyao but no one has replied so I didn't want to post it where no one would see so I am posting this here...

I actually DID miss this past week's SYAO, too. I hurt myself and couldn't get down the stairs to my scrap space so I was unable to complete either of the challenges. I posted that I thought I would miss the deadline in the CYAO section, but I don't think anyone has visited since I left the message.

Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks for being such an inspiring group! it's been fun being able to get so much done!

Hopefully I will be able to continue to scrap along with you...
