QOTD 10/6/11 (BCA)

October is Breast Cancer Awareness (BCA) and I was wondering what do you do to join in on the fight? Do you donate, do fundraisers like walks, etc. Maybe made it a habit to buy "pink" produts that support BCA. Do you participate in BCA scrap challenges. And finally... do you set your annual appt for your mammogram?

Just called to schedule for my annual exam yesterday.
I have walked the 3_Day walk raising $1000s and was quite impressed I was able to do it.

I have lost my best friend's mom (who I also called Mom) and my Sister-in-law to breast cancer. Three years ago, one of my Best Friends got it in her 30s. Luckily she beat it. Thank God that her 4 year old daughter (now 7) has her mama! Currently, my high school BF's mom is losing the battle.

My Dr. has not asked me to set a mammogram appt. but I do get checked every 6 months.
I lost my grandmother when I was about 3. I really wish I could have gotten to know her. I have a friend who does some events so I always donate what I can.

We do cookie dough fundraisers through Otis Spunkmeyer and have bought some pink ribbon products, but not many? Would like to do more

My insurance won't cover them until you are 50, but I get the manual exam yearly.

I really don't get involved in any fund raisers here, I really don't know of any. But I do do for leukemia.

My grandma died of BC as well.

And I'm always game for a fun challenge:)
