QOTD 5/5/12

I have been under the weather today with neck pain, (due to a disease I have) (why this question is so late) BUt I still dragged myself out to go to my grandson's baseball game. Wasn't easy sitting in those seats. SO my question for you is What do you do when you are under the weather and your children/grandchildren have a sport/activity going on. Do you go or stay home and pamper yourself!




I will say I go almost no matter what because grandsons mother is always sick and uses that excuse all the time and so it is even more important for me not to let grandsons down.

Oh sorry to hear Susie! Hope you feel better quick. I tend to go nonstop no matter what but I can remember a few times when I was sick enough to be in bed that I couldn't go and dh took up the slack.

So sorry you are not feeling well. Depends on if I am dizzy then I would stay home. In pain? For sure stay home.

Sorry to hear that Susie and like you, I have too been under the weather with Kidney stones. I still get up and go to my kids events unless I am in so much pain i can't walk. Then I am on bed rest with a heating pad, pain killers, water and netflix!

I just took an Epsom salt bath myself. I tend to go, I tend to hang back so I can stand up if I need to. My husband will also strategically park the car so I can sit in the car if I need to.

I do my best to go to their events.

When my sons were younger and involved in activities, I was there no matter what. I would not let work, illness or anything else interfere with me being there. The only time I missed any of their activities is if they both had something going on at the same time, and then me and their father would go with the younger or the older son.

I have been the same when it comes to the grandchildren. Our children and grandchildren need to see their parents and other family members supporting them and on the side lines cheering for them!!!!

I congratulate you for going although you did not feel well!

I guess it depends on what is wrong with me and what the event is. If I am just a little under the weather or having aches and pains or if it is a major event, I make every effort to go. If I have a fever or am contagious, I will stay home. My mother hardly ever came to any of my events so I try to make sure either my husband or I (preferably both of us) are at most, if not all, of our children's activities.

Depends on the illness...and the event.
If it is just practice, I normally would stay home. A game...I would try my hardest to go...no matter what, unless I was that sick. I do make sure that either myself or Mark are present. With twins...it is hard for both of us to be at events when they occur at the same time, so we split the tasks...and normally depending on distance of the events, we may even swap mid-way.

Besides, if I miss something...who would take the photos for me to scrap later. :D

Sorry you are not feelling well. I think I would stay home but it would depend how sick and what I would be missing.
