QOTD 5/25/2011 altered items

What "altered items" do you like to scrap beyond layouts and cards?
I really like to make shadowboxes as gifts.
Feel free to share your work here and/or in the gallery as well. We'd love to see.

I have only done a chipboard album, not sure that counts as anything altered. I made a recipe book out of it for my kids.

I have altered a wooden frame and I LOVED how that turned out.

I love doing canvases. Have done a few mini albums, but sometimes struggle with them.

I have a painters tray sitting here and haven't found just the right line yet to tackle it. But I love altering anything I can get my hands on.

I really don't do altered items unless it's a challenge.

canvases...they are a fast and inexpensive way to change your home decor

I like to alter frames & make banners. Wall hangings are fun too.

I love altering! I have altered altoid tins, mini albums, bandaid tins, frames, cookies sheet that I made into an advent calendar for Christmas, paint cans, and I'm sure there is something I've forgot over the years! I can share any of them since they are in my photobucket account.

Seeing how we're on the last week of school, those teacher tins are timely and CUTE!

Somehow, I always seem to have more ideas (and supplies LOL) than projects that actually get executed. I have done some altered canvases; this is the most recent. It's a 6x6 stretched canvas altered with metal, paper, wire, paint, alcohol inks, Glimmer Glaze and Glam, beads and rhinestones. TFL.
