QOTD _When do you know you have enough? 5/5/2011

So girls....When do you know you have enough scrapbooking supplies?
For me it was when my husband walked into my scrapbooking room, and asked if I was opening a shop!

can there ever be to much scrappin supplies...lol....I knew I had to much because the amount I had was so overwhelming it stumped my creativity. There is just to much and for awhile it was to much to sort through to get a paper or accent I wanted. I went for 2 years without scrapbooking and now I am NOT shopping and using what I have. I never thought to much could stop the creative flow but it did.

I'll have enough scrappy stuff when I die!
Or when all my albums are caught up.

When manu's stop coming out with 60 new lines a year that I dont' NEED!

LOL! I keep saying I have enough until all the new product is released. It's funny though because I have 12x12 Iris cases filled with ribbon. 1 case for each color & they are FULL. So how come I always never seem to have the right color? Same with flowers. And paper too! I sometimes do feel a little owerwhelmed by my collection & wonder if it is what kills my mojo. We'll see how I feel after I finish reorganizing it all. I have been getting rid of alot as I sort through it all though.

Kristi- Sometimes purging helps my mojo too. Odd but when I can find everything (and not buried), I'm more inspired.

Is having too much the same as knowing you have enough? Apparently I don't think so! lol I know I have too much because I recently pulled tons of product for a birthday giveaway on my blog and when you look at my stash...you can't tell I got rid of anything at all! Yet I still want MORE?!! I thought I was nearly done though I'm still waiting for a few lines to arrive at my fave online SS (Rocket Age and Notations 12x12)...then noticed that the manufacturers are starting the sneak peeks for Summer?!!! ACK! What are they trying to do to me...and my budget? lol

At Christmas I told myself "NO MORE PURCHASES". I scrapped 25 layouts without having to buy anything....and they had heaps of product on them! Then I saw the gorgeous new stuff coming out.

I can NEVER have enough!!!! I think I realized I had ALOT of stuff when I had to pack up and move to a different state. I think I had more boxes in my scrap room then any other room! Even then, I just purged all my all stuff to make room for new stuff!

I am constantly buying -- I love NEW product!!! :)

Well, it would help if they'd stop coming out with new stuff that I LOVE! lol

You can never have enough...I just know that there are products I still haven't discovered...hee hee..:)

I'm agreeing with the majority on this one! Never enough because... well... just because, LOL! I never know what I'm going to want to create so it helps to have a little of everything on hand. Hee hee! Oh and you guys told me I needed more stuff... I now need Glitz so I can play along in this month's challenge.

Maybe we should do a stash swap. We could all put page elements together and send to each other for a page or cards or something.

There's no such thing as enough! I agree that seeing heaps of it stifles my creativity though - which is why I'm very organized and have it nicely put away .

Oh WOW! I'm not sure that you can have enough. I know I have too much. But new stuff keeps coming out and I it all.

Talking of scrapping supplies, have spent the day at Australia's biggest scrapbooking wholesaler, and made a few purchases. Lots of Prima bling and masks, Tim Holtz dies and embossing folders, Martha Stewart punches, Graphic 45 paper, plus some Teresa Collins and K & Co. Should be set for awhile!
I attended classes by EK Success and Clearsnap, tried out the Teresa Collins stampmaker, and did lots of make and takes. Had a fab day.

You guys wanna hear something amazingly ironic? See my last comment on this thread where I ask Tina what she thought about the TC Stampmaker? Today, I found out I won it on Papercrafter's Corner. I was so thrilled I was jumping up and down and squealing. lol

WTG Doris!!!! How fantastic!
The stampmaker is great, very esay and user friendly. A tip if you are doing intricate stamps, script, etc. Flash the back of the stamp (that you would normally have away from the light) for 3 quick seconds, then turn over and place image in the correct way. This creates a thin polymer base. The guy demonstrating it to me (Charlie Butcher I think) said he does it for all his stamps. I think he has some 'how to' videos on the net.

Nancy, will do! I'm so excited! I've been coveting it since it came out, but it wasn't on my MUST-HAVE list yet since I don't even have a diecut machine, embossing machine or any type of binding machine yet and I figured I'd need to get those 3 things first. lol I'm still shocked at my good fortune!
